Ladies and Gentlemen

The Northumbria Junior Golf League updated fixtures are on the league website.

Three teams have resigned from the league. Blyth. Matfen and Parklands.
We welcome the City of Newcastle back to the league, and a second team from Hexham.
It’s sad to see golf clubs not being proactive in encouraging junior golfers.
If any club would like to enter a team please contact the league secretary.

The NJGL would like to take this opportunity to thank the clubs in the league Junior Organisers, for their fantastic work they do for junior golf in Northumberland.
Looking forward to seeing you over the golfing season.

Sadly the Texas Scramble has been cancelled, and will be pleased later in the year.

With COVID 19 regulations in place all games will be played with social distancing in place.

There will be no meals after the matches have been completed until further notice.

Its great to have junior golf back. The Northumbria Junior Golf League is the only junior league in Northumberland.

Chairman’s Message
Ladies and Gentlemen, I hope you are all safe and well. We should by now have been well through our league fixtures in the Northumbria Junior Golf league, but the Covid 19 virus has ended junior golf for 2020.

I realise that junior team members who were in their final year of junior golf have missed out on team golf this year. Also Junior Team Captains have missed out on their year of captaincy. With all this in mind the following changes will be made for 2021:

Rule 1 will read as follows: (and I must stress that this rule change will only be for 2021).

Age Limit: A player must be under 20 years of age on the 1st of April of the current year.

This will allow 2020 junior players, who are missing out of their final year, to compete in the Northumbria Junior Golf League in 2021 if they wish to do so.

I hope you all agree with this change in the rules for 2021 in light of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Regards, Marcus Chisholm, Chairman/Secretary, Northumbria Junior Golf League.
